Flats!

These are probably my favorite pair of flats (possibly because I don't have a whole lot). I wear them so often that the brand is rubbed off the inside sole; I got them for Christmas this year. Their scrunchy back makes them sort of form to the size of your foot which is really convenient for me and my weird feet. You know I have to have lace, so these are perfect for my taste. The neutral base color matches just about anything, while the satin rose embellishment adds a nice touch. I wear them with cute skirts or even some dressed up pants. They are so comfortable and versatile.

OOTD: outfit of the day

I call this look business booty. It's such an easy look to throw together but it adds some class and a little sexy. I'm wearing a basic grey tank from h&m because my top is a little revealing, and that pearl colored blouse is also from h&m. I think I only spent about $15 on that top. It's a great piece to have in my closet. But the centerpiece of this outfit is definitely the skirt. I can't tell you quite where it came from because it belongs to my mother and it has for many many years. My favorite thing, besides the lace, is the illusion it gives of an actual rump (hence the necessity to include a side view pic). Skirts like this one seem to be all the rage this season, so I'm glad my mom held on to it. I finished this outfit with some plain nude tights and a great pair of lace (yes, more lace) flats (I'll post pics, you know I looove my shoes). Put that in your pipe and smoke it!

Prom shoes!

These shoes are extra fabulous! The pink undermeath matches the pink from my prom dress almost exactly and the black lace just completed it (I have a thing for lace). They were only $50 at DSW, which isn't too bad. On the downside, they aren't incredibly comfortable, but fashion is pain!

Prom 2012!

Junior prom this year turned out to be a bust, the turnout was disappointing at best and those who did attend danced the night away to
"today's hits." But one good thing did come out of the occasion, I looked fabulous! This pink flowy number was an amazing find. Coming down to prom time I still didn't have a dress so my mom and I took a trip to Polaris for some last-minute shopping. At Von Maur of all places, this little number caught my eye and I had to have it (only $79!). The high waisted ribbon and high-low hem is very flattering and the soft pink color is just perfect. I paired it with a great pair of matching pumps (pictures later) a simple pink drop necklace and a little black clutch. I didn't do much with my hair and kept a simple makeup pallette. Hope you enjoy! :)

Shoes!

A great find in the back of my mom's coat closet. I love these little black shoes; they're strappy yet closed-toed, and not to mention surprisingly comfortable. They are Mossimo brand which, for a girl on a budget, is a pretty decent brand. We can't all be fortunate enough to afford Jimmy Choos and Prada pumps. Can't wait to rock them in a sassy summer outfit!
